Lake & City Homes is proud to announce (albeit belatedly) that we've added some wonderful new functionality to our Property Details page: Microsoft Bird's Eye View. Microsoft Birds Eye View is a terrific tool that provides an aerial (or "bird's eye") view of any property for sale in the South Central WI MLS. Take my newest listing located at 5209 Burnett Drive in Madison, for example. Microsoft Bird's Eye View shows you where properties are situated in relation to each other, in relation to streets and avenues, and gives you an aerial overview of the density of trees and other greenery in any given area. You also have the ability to zoom in and out.
Microsoft Bird's Eye View is an especially good tool for looking at Madison lakefront homes or real estate for sale in golf course communities. It's also terrific for checking out how far a home is located from neighborhood parks, pools, schools, and shops. One thing to remember is that Microsoft Bird's Eye View uses historical photos that may not reflect a large addition someone has put on their home since that particular aerial shot was last taken. Similarly, if a home was built on a lot since the last time an aerial photo was taken, those changes may or may not be reflected as well.
Search for Madison homes by map and see Microsoft Bird's Eye View in action for yourself. Then let us know what you think. We'd love to hear your viewpoint!

Posted by Mike in Dallas on Friday, September 25th, 2009 at 9:34pmAs usual, Jolenta is ahead of the competition. Looks things are going fantastic on your site. I hope your customers are enjoying everything you have to offer on Madison's premier real estate website. Take care and shoot me an e-mail sometime. WOW, great site!!!
Posted by Beaufort homes for sale on Monday, September 28th, 2009 at 9:34pmJolenta, this is a tremendous update and obviously a feather in your cap. I always thought about adding google maps aerial view pic to property listings, but had some poky technical issues with wordpress. Later I fixed them up and came up with the suggestion of highlighting schools, hospitals and other public amenities around the property. I bet that would be a convincing sign for the customers. I am sure your madison real estate search would attract more customers and visitors with this feature added. Thanks and let us know how the traffic increased. :)

I heard Bing being new with Google and Yahoo as its competition but I didn't thought it can actually show aerial photos like this. This is one good way to show clients about the area they are looking for. A marketing strategy that is applicable and hopefully would convince them to make a purchase.
Posted by Short sale Agent in Las Vegas on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 at 5:57amI can also make use of that for my site. I think this would be a great addition in presenting the site for my clients. That would help as part of any marketing strategy most especially in the real estate housing market. Thanks for the idea.
Posted by Las Vegas Short sale Agent on Monday, November 30th, 2009 at 1:51amWe stumbled on your website during the search process. We really liked your "bird's eye view" tab and want to give you credit for that idea/built in option. Good job! We will be sure to steer people to your website whenever we hear that someone's house shopping. We were hooked up with a realtor through networking well before finding your site, sorry! Your website will be the only website I keep bookmarked after this process is said and done. Is that a nice consolation? :)
