Pleasant Springs is bordered by Cottage Grove to the north, Christiana to the east, Dunkirk to the south, and the Town of Dunn to the west. Most of the old summer cottages that once lined the lake have now been replaced with substantial year-round homes. Other areas of Pleasant Springs consist of marshland and streams, while Liberty Mound is the biggest hill. It is in fact the highest point of land in Dane County with the exception of Blue Mounds.
Yahara River & Pleasant Springs
The Yahara River, originally known as the Catfish River, flows through part of Pleasant Springs. Entering from Lake Kegonsa to the west, it winds its way southward, exiting southwest of County Road N on County Road B. Another stream, Door Creek, enters and exits Pleasant Springs at its northwest corner.
