Luxury homes in Pleasant Springs have everything you need for the ultimate comfort and convenience. Features could include theater rooms, workout areas, soaking tubs and heated garages. Many high-end homes offer incredible views of the countryside, and some even sit directly on Lake Kegonsa and have their own docks.
Pleasant Springs is bordered by Cottage Grove to the north, Christiana to the east, Dunkirk to the south, and the Town of Dunn to the west. At one time or another in its history, the Town of Pleasant Springs was part of the Town of Madison, the Town of Dunn, and the Town of Rome. But in 1848 Pleasant Springs was divided for the last time and became its own township again. As an interesting historical quirk, the bar room of the Stoughton Country Club remains located in the Town of Dunn while the pro shop is located in Pleasant Springs!
Lake Kegonsa & Pleasant Springs
Lake Kegonsa’s shoreline extends to the western edge of Pleasant Springs providing beautiful lakefront lots for many Pleasant Springs homeowners. Most of the old summer cottages that once lined the lake have now been replaced with substantial year-round homes. Other areas of Pleasant Springs consist of marshland and streams, while Liberty Mound is the biggest hill. It is in fact the highest point of land in Dane County with the exception of Blue Mounds.
Yahara River & Pleasant Springs
The Yahara River, originally known as the Catfish River, flows through part of Pleasant Springs. Entering from Lake Kegonsa to the west, it winds its way southward, exiting southwest of County Road N on County Road B. Another stream, Door Creek, enters and exits Pleasant Springs at its northwest corner.
