Overview of Verona, WI
Nicknamed "Hometown USA" the story of sleepy little Verona Wisconsin has been epic for the past few years – Epic Systems, that is, the Madison area’s largest employer. Thanks in no small part to the healthcare software heavyweight’s choice to build its office campus in a local pasture, Verona, WI has grown 50 percent in the past decade to about 14,000 citizens. Named for a town in Upstate New York, Verona is located adjacent to Madison’s southwest corner, with Fitchburg just on its western edge. Downtown Madison is a quick 15 minute drive away.
