Thanksgiving is creeping up on us and if you want to dine out, and hope to get a reservation, you’ll need to act quickly. And, we have a few places you may want to call for those reservations.

Essen-Haus

For some Madison families, Thanksgiving dinner at Essen Haus is a tradition. They serve a family-style dinner with all the usual favorites, including stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, yams and more. “All of the sides are bottomless,” they promise on their website, “and you take the leftover turkey home!”

Adults eat for $22.95 while dinners for kids between the ages of 6 and 10 are $8.95 and the wee ones, age 5 and younger eat for free. Get additional details online at essen-haus.com.

Erin’s Snug Irish Pub

If you’ll be dining with a large group, consider a buffet, with something to offer a myriad of preferences. That’s what you’ll find at Erin’s Snug Irish Pub this Thanksgiving -- from traditional turkey to ham, prime rib and all the sides you can dream of. The meal is reasonably priced as well, at only $21.99 for adults and $13.99 for children age 12 and younger. Erin’s is serving from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 4601 American Pkwy, Madison. Quivey's Grove

There’s something for everyone at Quivey’s Grove this Thanksgiving. Entrees include turkey, of course or pork, duck, prime rib, a vegetarian entrée and salmon. Dinner is priced at $26 for adults and $12 for children younger than 10 (does this mean kids older than 10 are adults?). Green Owl Café

Green Owl is serving up a vegan Thanksgivingfeast, with one seating, starting at noon. The menu looks amazing. Starters include meatballs in sweet & sour sauce, hummus with curry-toasted cauliflower and more. The entrée is tofu turkey with stuffing and all the sides you can handle. Then, there’s desert, a pumpkin cheesecake to die for. You must prepay for your dinner online, through Paypal, but Green Owl makes it easy with buttons on their website. The five course dinner is $43 and that includes gratuity. Kids eat for $20. Beverages are extra. And, you can also get your meal to go, for $37 per person. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar

Flemings is offering a Prix Fixe menu on turkey day with traditional favorites such as roasted turkey breast with savory gravy along with cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, green beans and mashed potatoes. The Edgewater

Here’s a twist on Thanksgiving dinner: make it brunch in the Grand Ballroom instead. The Edgewater is serving a complete spread, including turkey, ham and all the fixings. Thanksgiving to Go

Wisconsin Union

Wisconsin Union Catering is a local favorite and the popularity of their Thanksgiving dinners are proof. They have several options available from a la carte, family or individual meals. Here’s what’s on the menu this year:

  •          Gingersnap mustard-glazed ham
  •          Sage stuffing
  •          Mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallows
  •          Homemade cranberry-orange relish

Copps

Copps is offering its Gather Together holiday dinners again this year. Choose the ham dinner or the turkey dinner. Both come with spinach-artichoke dip, cranberry-orange relish, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes with pecan streusel and green bean casserole. The turkey dinner also features stuffing and turkey gravy and the ham dinner includes creamed spinach.

Whole Foods

Whole Foods not only features a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, fully prepared, but a vegan Thanksgiving feast as well. Choose from among nine different dinner packages (see them here), ranging in price from $39.99 for the vegan meal for two to $249.99 for the Festive Feast for 12.
