Wingra Boats is one the places to check out for rentals. You can rent canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and sailboats here. They also offer membership, camps, lessons and dockage.

Skipper Bud’s is a great choice for rentals as well. They are located right on Lake Mendota. Madison School & Community Recreation Pontoon Boat Program – 3802 Regent Street, Madison

If you’ve decided last minute to want to take a boat ride, Madison School offers drop-in boat rides. You can rent boats or take a specialty trip. Check out their events as well. Their program goes from May to September.
