There are a variety of colleges and universities in the Madison area. They provide a number of degrees and certificate programs. These facilities are utilized by students all over the world.
University of Wisconsin Madison
There are approximately 42,000 undergrads that attend each year, and this University is known across the globe. The main focus of this facility is about discovery. The Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery is a facility on campus that is known for two state of the art biomedical research associations.
It also provides a large area for scientific events. When it comes to sports, there is plenty of University pride to go around. Performances from the music department come highly recommended.
School of Medicine and Public Health
This teaching facility is inside the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. It is known for discovering a variety of lab studies, and utilizing them on patients.
Madison College
Students at Madison College receive training in one of the 140 different career options that are available. Both associate degrees and certificate programs are offered. More than 50,000 students attend Madison College each year.
There are 6 campuses throughout the Madison area. Public performances are held twice a year in the Mitby Theatre. There are also a variety of choral and instrumental organizations that are supported by the music department.
Edgewood College
A Catholic based college that is just off the banks of Lake Wingra. This happens to be the only college in the Madison area that is an independent liberal arts college. Edgewood College tends to 1,800 students each year.
Stopping by the DeRicci Gallery is highly recommended, or spend the evening indulging in one of the choral or band performances lead by the music department. Regina Theater is the center stage for all plays, musicals, and so on. Edgewood College takes pride in being recognized as a Green college.
