Isn’t it wonderful when it’s warm enough to golf in shorts? It’s time to find out, so dust off the clubs, pack them in the car and head to Verona. Or, if you’re lucky enough to live in the Hawk’s Landing neighborhood, throw them in the back of your cart and you’ll be at the clubhouse in minutes.
The Hawks Landing neighborhood is home to one of Wisconsin’s premiere golf facilities, Hawk’s Landing Golf Club. Ranked at number 3 in Golf Digest’s “Top Rated Courses in Madison Area,” the course is well-maintained and features an excellent layout.

Hawk’s Landing schools
The Madison Metropolitan School District serves the public school students who live in Hawk’s Landing. Students are assigned to the following schools:
- Olson Elementary School – Serves nearly 500 students in grades Pre-K through 5
- Toki Middle School – Serves nearly 550 students in grades 6 through 8
- Memorial High School – Between 2015 and 2016, Memorial High students raised the school’s calculated Average Standard Score more than 33 points. That year, Memorial was ranked 32 of Wisconsin’s 407 public high schools. It serves 1,922 students in grades 9 through 12.
Hawk’s Landing amenities
Members of the Hawk’s Landing Golf Club enjoy more than golf. The club also offers swimming, tennis and Dahmen’s at Hawks, a restaurant and bar.
Residents of Hawk’s Landing also have access to three area parks, the largest of which is Hill Creek Park, with more than 25.5 acres. Here, residents shoot hoops, hike the trails and the kids love the playground. Kingswood Park, with more than 4.5 acres, offers basketball hoops as well as a soccer field and a playground.

You’ll find about 300 homes in the Hawk’s Landing community. If you hope to live close to the clubhouse, search for homes for sale on Hawk’s Landing Cir. and Hawk’s Reserve Ln.
Homes with fairway views are located throughout the community, especially along Windy Point, Shadow Wood Dr., Hidden Hill Dr., Hill Creek Dr., Royal Oaks Dr. and Redan and Red Tail Drives.
The median list price of a home for sale in Hawk’s Landing is currently $550,000. This typically buys a 4-bedroom home with more than 4,000 square feet of living space. Over the past year, the median price of a sold home in the community is $515,000.
You’ll find the Hawks Landing neighborhood south of Olson Elementary School/Hill Creek Dr. and north of Mid Town Rd., between S. Pleasant View Rd. and Hill Creek Park/Shady Point Dr. in Verona.
