Finding the right type of park for your needs isn't always easy. However, in the city of Madison, the hardest part is the fact that there are so many good choices. Here's a look at some of the best parks found throughout the city.
Olin Park
Found on John Nolen Drive, this park provides an amazing view of the Capitol and Lake Monona. It provides more than 47 acres of space and plenty of amenities and activities including:

James Madison Park

Westmoreland Park
This park is one of the best neighborhood parks in the entire city. It's found off Tokay Boulevard and covers over 11 acres of space. The park provides open fields, basketball, ice skating, volleyball, tennis and more.
Olbrich Park
A very large park covering more than 66 acres of space, Olbrich Park is a favorite of many. It's found next to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens and near Lake Monona. Plenty of activities are found here including

This is also one of the top parks for sledding in all of Madison.
Hoyt Park
Covering about 22 acres of space, this is a quiet park found away from the business of Madison. It's a great place to enjoy a quiet walk or a picnic. The park features a dog area, hiking, a fireplace, a playground, snowshoeing and much more.
