You’ll see prairie style architecture, a Thai Pavilion and Garden, a rose garden and an innovative tropical garden. Along with beautiful gardens and landscape, you can take advantage of the gift shop, meeting rooms and horticultural library. Here is a look at what you can enjoy at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens.

What to expect at Olbrich

Inside the Botanical Gardens you’ll find the Bolz Conservatory. Inside this 50ft tall sunny glass pyramid you’ll find the diverse tropical plants, free-flying birds, rushing waterfall and blooming orchids. You’ll get to see the plants on which common foods come from, such as coffee and banana.

There are carnivorous plants as well and the conservatory can get up to 95 degrees Fahrenheit making you feel like you’ve been whisked away to somewhere tropical. In the summer, the Olbrich’s Blooming Butterflies will be free-flying throughout the Conservatory.

Olbrich’s Thai Pavilion Garden is the only one in the continental US and is an outdoor garden experience. You’ll see the Rose Garden featuring shrub roses and perennials. The Perennial Garden, Herb Garden and Sunken Garden are a few of the specialty gardens to enjoy. Check this area out daily, year-round.
