Ah, spring is finally in the still-somewhat-nippy air and April’s Madison entertainment calendar proves it. Sure, we're headed for some April showers this month, but don't let that stop you from getting out and enjoying some of this month's amazing events.
April 1
Spring Fling
We LOVE free events, especially when they’re family-oriented and this one is a must-attend. On April 1 (no fooling!) the Crowne Plaza (4402 E. Washington Ave. in Madison) hosts the Spring Fling, a day full of shopping for crafts from more than 50 vendors. You’ll find jewelry, makeup, body products and more. Parking is free too and you’ll receive a free carnation, be entered in free gift bag and spa/massage raffles too. This event happens from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and you can learn more online on Facebook.
Children’s Theater of Madison Springtacular Benefit
We also love benefits and this one is a must-attend, in our opinion. The Children's Theater of Madison is hosting its Springtacular Benefit with proceeds going to “help provide resources for continued excellence onstage and in the classroom.” This event is being held at the Orpheum Theater at 6 p.m. Cocktail hour kicks it off and then you’ll enjoy dinner, entertainment and lots of fun. Dress is “colorful cocktail casual.” Make your reservation now by clicking here.
April 2

Not all belly dance styles are alike, so we’ll be exposed to a diverse selection. You can also enjoy a cash bar, a raffle and more. Navigate to bellydancinguw for details.

Even if you don’t fancy yourself a runner, the 2017 Mad City 100K is worth spectating. Runners, however, will enjoy a scenic course along the shores of Lake Wingra, through the various neighborhoods and the UW Arboretum. Registration is still open so go sign up!
