Lake Waubesa is a 2,074 acre lake located in Dane County with 15 miles of shoreland. It has a maximum depth of about 38 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from 11 parks, 4 public boat landings, and a public beach at Goodland County Park Beach located on Lake Waubesa's Western shore. Fishing is year-round and includes Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye and Catfish.

Lake Waubesa, a sparkling gem in southern Wisconsin, offers a plethora of unique activities that celebrate its natural beauty and the rich community that thrives on its shores, lakeside living provides a calmer, more quiet way of life, however that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the excitement that comes with the waterfront activities and artistic scene in the area.

15 acre Goodman Park on Lake Waubesa's western shores is one of the oldest parks in Dane County. This partially wooded park includes about 600 feet of shoreline, two shelter houses, several picnic areas, play equipment, a softball field, a horseshoe pit and designated areas for volleyball, tennis and basketball. There is also an unsupervised swimming area and a public boat launch. 

Lake Farm County Park is a 328-acre park on the northwestern side of Lake Waubesa. It is part of the Capitol Springs Centennial State Park and Recreation Area. This park features three shelters, play equipment, a public boat launch with fish cleaning facility, camping grounds, wildlife pond, lookout tower, hiking and cross-country ski trails, off-leash dog exercise area, disc golf course, and the Native American Archaeological Trail. With several dog parks also in the area, this makes for a beautiful place to bring the family and friends for outings on the weekend for a relaxing day out in the sunshine on the lakefront.
