Dotty Dumpling's Dowry has been serving hamburgers to Madison residents for over 30 years. What started off as an electric gift shop in Des Moines, Iowa quickly turned into one the greatest hamburger huts in the Midwest.

The Menu

If you love hamburgers you will absolutely love Dotty Dumpling's Dowry. The menu here consists of close to 20 hamburgers that will literally melt in your mouth. Some of them include the heart throb, melting pot, basil mozzarella and California burger just to name a few. If you don’t want any of the burgers on the menu, you can always build your own for just $5.99.

Adventurous Alternatives

For those who like to try new things, or prefer to maintain a certain diet, the adventurous alternatives menu is for you. On it you will find options such as the homemade spicy veggie burger, bison burger, honey mustard chicken, homemade vegan burger, and the turkey burger.

Other choices on the menu include soup, chili, salads, craft beers and regular beverages such as fountain soda.

Game Day

Badger fans flock to Dotty’s for hamburgers and beer on every Badger game day. It’s a well-known tradition in the Madison area. Please know there are no reservations and no split checks on game days. All food is made to order so you can expect to wait about 20 minutes for your order.

There is a one hour time limit on all bar and dining room tables. No time limit on those sitting at the full service bar.

Hours of Operation

Dotty’s is open Sunday through Monday 11am to 10pm, Tuesday through Thursday 11am to 11pm and Friday and Saturday 11am to 12 am. During Badger games and Kohl center events closing times may vary.

Parking
