Is your heart set on a classic Cape Cod, a cool Contemporary, or a character-filled Victorian?  The beauty and diversity of Madison's diverse architecture is one of the most enjoyable aspects of shopping for a home in the Madison real estate market. But when buying a home it can also be confusing if you're unfamiliar what's available in our area or unsure which style will suite your lifestyle best.

Whether or not you've decided what architectural style's for you, it's easy to familiarize yourself with Madison's housing styles with our Guide to Madison Architechtural Styles page. Here you'll find brief descriptions of popular architectural styles found in Madison along with one-click access to all the homes currently for sale in each category.

What architectural style do you fancy? Send us a picture of your favorite style of architecture when it comes to Madison residential homes. If we feature your photo on our Guide to Madison Architechtural Styles page, you'll be eligible to win a free one-year home warranty when you purchase a home with Lake & City Homes Realty. Note: some restrictions apply, call (563) BUY-SOLD (563-289-7653) or email us for details. While there's no deadline for this contest, please note that we'll only feature one photo per category.

@style I fancy?: Having some experience in your neck of the woods:-), I think it has to be a true "Modern" contemporary. Modern in the sense of taking Frank Loyd Wright lines and style but more glass than is typically in a true "Lloyd Wright". That make sense? :-) Lake mendota certainly has a few!

What's you're favorite style by the way?

Well done and great work, Jolenta.
